Cambridge, UK, 5 October 2021Adder Technology, a specialist in connectivity solutions and high performance IP KVM, last week celebrated its third prestigious Queen’s Award for Enterprise with a ceremony at its Cambridge headquarters. The award for International Trade was formally presented to Adder’s CEO, Adrian Dickens. It recognized the company’s market-leading range of high performance keyboard, video, mouse (KVM) solutions that are exported worldwide via a network of trusted partners and resellers.

Having previously been honored with a Queen’s Award for International Trade in 2001 and a Queen’s Award for Innovation in 2014, Adder was presented with the latest award in a ceremony by the Lord Lieutenant of Cambridgeshire, Julie Spence OBE QPM, the Deputy Lord Lieutenant, Mr Christopher Walkinshaw, and Cadet Warrant Officer, Alex Braybrook.

“We are delighted to have been honored by such a prestigious award and to receive recognition for a third time is truly remarkable,” said Adder CEO and founder, Adrian Dickens. “I have been immensely proud of the resilience and determination demonstrated by our teams around the world over the past year. The business has continued to grow despite the challenging circumstances we have found ourselves in. This award proves the commitment we have to our vision and acknowledges the efforts of everyone involved across the business.”

Prior to the presentation, the Lord Lieutenant joined the Adder Board of Directors in a tour of the site incorporating Adder’s engineering, R&D, and manufacturing facilities before joining over 100 employees for the ceremony and a celebratory lunch.

Originally founded in 1984, Adder has established itself as a leader in the design and manufacture of innovative enterprise technology products which enable users to securely access and control computers from anywhere in the world via a standard IP network. The core technology, known as KVM, is used globally by customers across multiple industries – from pro-AV, broadcasting, and post-production, to command and control, and industrial process automation. Whilst all the firm’s products are manufactured at its Cambridge headquarters, 91% of its global revenue is generated from foreign exports.

Neil Hillier, senior vice president global sales and marketing at Adder, said, “We are extremely grateful to our global customer and partner network for their loyalty to Adder over the years. They inspire our innovation and challenge us to deliver leading solutions that support their mission-critical applications. Without them, this award would be not achievable.”

The Queen’s Awards for Enterprise are the most prestigious business awards in the UK, with more than 7,000 companies having won an award since it was first established in 1965. The awards celebrate the success of exciting and innovative businesses which are leading the way with pioneering products or services, with 205 won this year alone.
